This week I decided to push some of the drawings I'd created through my sketchbook play into screen prints. I decided to focus on the shape driven work that I have been creating as I had previously stated. Prior to printing I worked around with the imagery on illustrator, experimenting with different layouts and halftones. Whilst printing out my positives I had a problem with the printer causing the ink not to fully print on one of the sheets. I decided to see this has a happy accident (much like Ian Pollock!) and made sure it made its way into my prints. I think it gave an interesting effect to the prints and took away from the order and control that producing positives digitally can often do. This is also why I like to incorporate the process of screen printing into my work as albeit sometimes small there are inconsistencies that appear in the final imagery. This gives the images a tangibility that is really desirable to me.

Below I will showcase the remainder of the images I have ended up with through printing. I spent a few days playing around on illustrator with layouts and colour variations. I think that these could be interesting to take into a poster form. Linking this with the topic of my essay could be a great way to unify my ideas.
